Frequently asked questions

Can I extend my hire?
If you’re looking to extend your hire, we strongly recommend that you contact us as soon as you can. Due to low availability in high season, we can’t guarantee any extension but we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
What do I do if I have an accident?
First of all, we’d want to make sure that everyone’s okay. In the unfortunate event of an accident with your rental car, we will ask that you do not admit liability in any circumstance. If you are unsure, always obtain a police report that will help our insurance company to gauge who was at fault. We also have a complete form in your Pick Up & GO folder. This’ll prompt you to ask the correct questions we need answered to make a claim on your behalf. All accidents must be reported to a GO Rentals representative the day it happens. You’ll also have to complete claims forms with a representative at one of our branches. We can’t guarantee that we’d be able to replace the vehicle if you are liable for the accident.
If I’m involved in an accident, where can I download the insurance claim forms?
First of all, we’d want to make sure that everyone’s okay. In the unfortunate event of an accident, the branch you collected the vehicle from would be the first point of contact after an accident. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so our team can advise you of the process and we can organise to send you the appropriate claims forms by email.
What happens if I breakdown?
We keep our cars in top shape to make sure they’re reliable in getting you exactly where you want to be. We’re very confident about the quality of our cars and our team of mechanics consistently does everything they can to make sure you have no problems. If on the off chance there is an issue, our 24-hour roadside assistance will be able to help. Please contact the Automobile Association (AA) on 0800 734 543 or *222, you will need to quote the vehicle registration number. Please note that this policy is free for mechanical breakdowns. All other call outs (e.g. flat battery due to lights being left on) will be subject to the relevant AA charges.
If I'm involved in an accident and it’s not my fault, do I still need to fill out the paperwork?
In the unfortunate event of an accident, you’ll need to fill in the relevant paperwork regardless of fault for insurance purposes.
