You can return your rental car during office hours, 08:00 - 17:00, Monday - Sunday. Park inside our downtown Auckland car rental branch and return your keys to a staff member at the rental counter.
We think minimal paperwork is the way to go, which is why we have developed an online pre-check-in process on our website or GO App. Pick-ups during office hours have never been so easy!

A pre-authorised amount to be paid at pick-up and returned to hirer if no damage is caused. The bond amount differs depending on the vehicle and hire period selected.
Credit or Debit
A credit card with the main hirer’s name is required for this insurance option.
Cover
Full comprehensive cover including third-party liability, windscreen and tyre damage. The hirer is liable for the excess amount only if conditions under the agreement are met.
Cost per day
A fee per day will be charged for the full duration of your hire period depending on the rental vehicle. This is an insurance premium and non-refundable.
Excess
Excess is reduced from the maximum depending on the vehicle selected. This is only to be paid by the hirer in the event of an accident or damage covered under the rental terms.
Bond
Starting from $0 depending on the rental vehicle. A pre-authorised amount will be paid at pick-up and returned to hirer if no damage is caused.
Credit or Debit
A credit card with the main hirer’s name is only required for rental vehicles with a bond deposit.

The Tesla dedicated roadside assistance must be utilised before our AA roadside assistance.

Our Auckland City branch is conveniently located in downtown Auckland, meaning you’re only a stone’s throw away from Auckland’s CBD. If you do fancy walking to or from the branch to the city centre, it’s approximately 800m to Britomart Train Station which should take you around 10 minutes.
You’re one step closer to exploring NZ with us. When you come to collect your hire car at our Auckland City branch, you’ll need a valid driver’s licence and a credit or debit card for security. A credit card is mandatory if you have selected our Basic or Assured insurance options. It must have your name printed on it for verification and the card must be valid until the drop-off date.
Unfortunately, we don’t offer an out of hours service at our Auckland City branch. We do offer after-hours services at all of our other branches but there is no key drop off service in Auckland City. When making a booking, you may want to consider booking from our Auckland Airport branch if you know you need to pick up or drop off your rental car out of hours. Our Airport branch is a short 25-minute drive from downtown Auckland and there are a number of public transport options available to get you from the city to the airport or vice versa.
If you are running late to pick up or drop off during our branch hours, you must contact our Auckland City branch immediately during branch hours at +64 9 974 1598 to notify us.
We sure do. We can arrange one-way car hires to and from all our locations including Auckland City. There are a couple of things you’ll have to consider - we do have minimum hire periods in place, and one-way hires are dependent on the time of year and your direction of travel and may be subject to a relocation feel.
