Our Auckland Airport car rental branch is only a skip and a hop from the Airport terminal buildings. Whether you are landing at Auckland International Airport or our domestic terminal, it is a short 3-5 minute drive. A shuttle service can be most easily arranged via our GO App. When you land, log into the app and request a pick-up.
If you’ve arrived at the Domestic Terminal, you can reach our shuttle pick-up area by walking outside Door 9 and across the pedestrian crossing. If you’ve arrived at the International Terminal, head out through Door 8, cross the pedestrian crossing and follow the sign for “Off-site Shuttle Transfers”. If you haven’t downloaded the GO App, you can contact our team on +64 9 974 1598 to organise your pick-up.

Returning your car hire to our Auckland Airport branch is straightforward. Simply park in the designated drop-off zone and take your key into the office where one of our friendly team members will check your vehicle back in. We can shuttle you back to the airport.
We have an after-hours service which means that you can pick up your rental car between 5am - 1:30am, 7 days a week. Once your booking is confirmed, we will email you the instructions for the after-hours car rental pick-up. We would prefer to meet you in person during our business hours but we don’t want to stop you from GOing all over New Zealand, no matter the time you land.
All after-hours pick-up and drop-off must be pre-arranged, and a mandatory online check-in will be required.
You can return your rental car 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once you’ve confirmed your booking, we’ll email through some easy instructions. We would prefer you return during business hours so our friendly staff can help you, but we understand that plans change and we want to work around you.
We can arrange one-way rental cars to and from all our locations. While we try our best to fulfil all your needs, we do have minimum hire periods in place. Additionally, one-way hires are dependent on the time of year and your direction of travel. Vehicle availability may be affected when cars are needed at other branches.
Our basic insurance cover is included in the cost of every car hire with two upgraded insurance options available!
We can organise one-way rentals with pick-up in one location and drop-off in another. Stick to your dream itinerary without worrying about circling back.

A pre-authorised amount to be paid at pick-up and returned to hirer if no damage is caused. The bond amount differs depending on the vehicle and hire period selected.
Credit or Debit
A credit card with the main hirer’s name is required for this insurance option.
Cover
Full comprehensive cover including third-party liability, windscreen and tyre damage. The hirer is liable for the excess amount only if conditions under the agreement are met.
Cost per day
A fee per day will be charged for the full duration of your hire period depending on the rental vehicle. This is an insurance premium and non-refundable.
Excess
Excess is reduced from the maximum depending on the vehicle selected. This is only to be paid by the hirer in the event of an accident or damage covered under the rental terms.
Bond
Starting from $0 depending on the rental vehicle. A pre-authorised amount will be paid at pick-up and returned to hirer if no damage is caused.

A credit card with the main hirer’s name is only required for rental vehicles with a bond deposit.

The Tesla dedicated roadside assistance must be utilised before our AA roadside assistance.
A security bond on GO Basic and GO Assured insurance options will be required for a Tesla booking and therefore needs a credit card upon pick-up.

For most people flying into Auckland Airport, our shuttle bus is the easiest way to get to and from the branch whether you are picking up or dropping off your rental car. It’s a short 3-5 minute drive dependent on traffic from the branch to either the domestic or international terminals.
Once you have your bags and are ready to be collected, request the shuttle through the GO App.
Domestic Terminal: Exit through Door 9, past the Jetstar check-in desks. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and wait in the pick-up area for the bright pink GO Rentals shuttle.
International Terminal: Exit through Door 8, cross at the pedestrian crossing and follow the “Off-site Shuttle Transfers” sign to the Off-site Transfer Zone. The walk takes approximately 5–7 minutes. You can watch how to find the off-site shuttle transfer area before you arrive. Wait there for the bright pink GO Rentals shuttle.

Our branch hours at the Auckland Airport branch are: 7:30am – 6pm Monday to Sunday.
If you need to pick up or drop off your vehicle outside these hours, there is an after-hours service which will allow you to do so! Once you’ve confirmed your booking, we’ll email you instructions on how to pick up and drop off your car outside of our branch hours.
If you are running late for a pick up or drop off, please contact our Auckland branch on +64 9 974 1598, and they will advise you on our after-hours process.
If you are planning on staying in Auckland for a few days once you arrive, it’s only a short drive into the city from the airport which will take you around 25 minutes depending on traffic. There are a couple of routes you can take but please ask a member of staff if you need any travel advice when leaving our Auckland Airport branch and they will be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
When you come to collect your hire car at our Auckland Airport branch, you’ll need a valid driver’s licence and a credit or debit card for security. A credit card is mandatory if you have selected our Basic or Assured insurance option that requires a bond deposit. It must have your name printed on it for verification and the card must be valid until the drop-off date.
