What is the walking distance from Queenstown Airport to your branch?
Our Queenstown branch is conveniently located right on the Queenstown Airport property. Once you’ve landed, all you need to do is walk from the terminal to our branch which is approximately 50m which should take you less than one minute.

What are Queenstown branch hours and what is the after-hours process?
Our branch hours at the Queenstown branch are:
8am - 5pm Monday to Sunday
If you need to pick up or drop off your vehicle outside these hours, there is an after-hours service which will allow you to do so! Once you’ve confirmed your booking, we’ll email you instructions on how to pick up and drop off your car outside of our branch hours.

Is there a shuttle service that runs from Queenstown Airport to your branch?
Unfortunately, we do not offer a shuttle service from Queenstown Airport to the branch, though our branch is conveniently located just a 1 minute walk from the terminal, meaning you’ll get there in no time.
If you do require special assistance getting from the airport to the branch or vice versa, please call us at the branch at least 24 hours in advance from arriving at the airport, and the team will do their best to accommodate your situation.

Do you offer one-way car hires from Queenstown Airport?
We sure do. We can arrange one-way car hires to and from all our locations including Queenstown Airport. There are a couple things you’ll have to consider - we do have minimum hire periods in place, and one-way hires are dependent on the time of year and your direction of travel. Do you do drop-offs or pick-ups from hotels in Queenstown?
Unfortunately, we do not offer drop-offs or pick-ups from hotels in and around Queenstown. If you are unable to organise transport to or from our branch, or need special assistance, you can call us at the branch and the team will do their best to accommodate your situation.

What happens if I need to pick up or drop of my rental car at Queenstown Airport out of hours?
We offer after-hours services at all of our branches excluding Auckland City. Once you’ve confirmed your booking, we’ll email through some instructions. If you’re returning to our Queenstown Airport branch, we prefer you return during business hours where possible, however parking and key drops are available in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Nelson, Queenstown, and Dunedin.

What will I need to bring when I collect my rental car from Queenstown Airport?
You’re one step closer to exploring NZ with us. When you come to collect your hire car at our Queenstown Airport branch, you’ll need a valid driver’s licence and a credit or debit card for security. A credit card is mandatory if you have selected our Basic insurance option. It must have your name printed on it for verification and the card must be valid until the drop-off date.

How far is it from Queenstown Airport to downtown Queenstown?
For most people flying into Queenstown Airport, a stay in Queenstown for a few days is usually part of the itinerary. Good news for you - downtown Queenstown is only a short drive from the airport and should take you around 25-30 minutes depending on traffic. Getting around Queenstown is a breeze but if you need some help when you set off, make sure you speak to our super-friendly team who will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. If you are heading out to explore the South Island once you arrive at Queenstown Airport, we’ve got some handy maps available in all our rental cars or you can also hire a GPS to help you get around.

Can we hire snow chains from Queenstown Airport if we are planning on heading to the ski slopes?
If you’re planning a trip up the mountain, we can help you get sorted with snow chains available for hire from our Queenstown Airport branch. We’ll even show you how to fit them, so that you’re all ready to go. Some of our mountain roads can be a bit of a challenge so we advise anyone planning on heading to the ski fields in one of our rental cars to add on the snow chains. Some roads, especially around Queenstown, have compulsory snow chain usage in place. If you’re planning on taking those routes, it’s best to plan ahead and add them to your booking.

Do you have ski racks available for hire from Queenstown Airport?
To help you get winter ready, we have ski racks available for hire from our Queenstown Airport branch, to help you get winter-ready. These racks can only be fitted to specific vehicles, you’ll know if you’ve selected a compatible vehicle if you see the option to hire the racks appear in the ‘Extras’ section of our booking process.
